Our Story
Network hardware vendors have been slowly adding more and more functionality to their systems toward incorporating SDN into their products. However, what has not changed is the way their networks are managed or the networking tools they use. This means their consumers can’t really access the benefits of advancements in modern network technology. Additionally, internal and external enterprise network data have been exploding. This has forced most businesses to deploy network switches with a higher capacity.
However, the current set of network management tools don’t scale well and thus can’t support the ever-changing network management needs of enterprises, including:
- Automated network management at scale with no vendor lock-in
- Centralized visibility
- Device vendor diversity
- Ease of deployment
- Immediate data visibility
- Dynamic provisioning
- And of course, move from capital expense (CapEx) to operational (OpEx)
To address these needs, enterprises today use over 10 networking tools on average and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in vain.
This is where Switchnomix comes in.
In 2016, Shivaram led a small but strong team of industry leaders in distributed computing, SDN, and sales to develop Switchnomix. Packed with the latest in switch networking technologies, Switchnomix enables enterprises to operate more dynamically while saving on networking expenses. Switchnomix scales an enterprise’s network, supporting thousands of devices, terabytes of data, constantly changing network topologies, highly dynamic policy management, and offering real-time data visibility.
